Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Develop the knowledge base of Caterpillar’s products, technologies, processes, services and systems, which you will use to:
- Learn and follow Caterpillar Engine Development process and procedure.
- Be familiar with Caterpillar design and test requirement, ISO, and relative regulations.
- Work on Engine Mechanical Validation project, Work on the engine and component reliability projects. Meet project objective, and meet partners and other business units’ expectations.
- Lead making engine test plan via communicating with global team members, and other business units, write Testing Instructions and Work Orders to operation/instrumentation team.
- Assessment of component before build. And release engine build and strip requirement and instructions.
- Conduct of engine test execution, understand the diesel engine test and test cell techniques. Analyze test data, be in charge of the test results meeting project target, and create engineering report.
- Component assessment after test. Judgement on the components conditions and report out.
- Engine test failure or issue analysis, in terms of engine performance, test procedure setting, component structure or material failure. Be able to find the root cause and make professional judgement and recommendations.
- Summarize and communicate results via presentation or host a meeting with global team members, partners, and other business units regularly.
- Assist to contribute to the engine development of new products and processes.
- Conduct engine emission test, including self-audit test, and CoP test via following relative process and regulation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in an accredited Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Internal Combustion Engines, Thermal Energy, Vehicle Engineering or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of internal combustion engine structure, engine test, and engine validation.
- Excellent in problem analysis and solving skill.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Creative, keep interest in taking challenge and pressure.
- Diligent, proactive, self-motived and open-minded.
- Excellent in English (oral & written), and Good Interpersonal skills.
- Strong Hands-on ability.
- Excellent teamwork.
